The kinetics of CO liquefaction of coal and lignin was studied by Akash BA et al. The mixture of Illinois bituminous coal and corrosive lignin was used to react at the initial hydrogen pressure of 1.1 MPa, 375 C and four naphthalene as solvent. The liquefaction product of coal and lignin mixture contains less benzene insoluble matter compared with the product obtained by liquefaction of coal alone. Exclusion chromatography studies show that the average molecular weight of liquefied products of coal and lignin mixtures is lower than that of products obtained by liquefaction of coal or lignin. The experimental data showed that the conversion rate of coal increased by 22% after adding lignin, and a mathematical model describing chemical reaction was obtained through research and analysis. Their impact on the circulation of liquid products has also been studied. Preliminary tests show that the total decomposition rate of coal decreases with the increase of product cycle.
